Frank throws an armbar on Horn.

The UWC returned to the Patriot Center in Fairfax Virginia for another fantastic show. MMA stars, Redskins football players, and nearly 4000 fans gathered for another night of incredible fights, and as always the UWC delivered. The card had excellent local match-ups and exciting national fights.
Former Green Ranger, Jason Frank charged out to face Carlos Horn, but quickly found himself on his back. He immediately scrambled to an armbar to earn a quick submission vicory. Iman Achhal had a barn burner of a bout with Valerie Coolbaugh, and when the fight went to the cards it was anybodys guess who'd take home the win. Coolbaugh pulled out a hard earned split decision.
Greg Jackson fighter, Diego Brandoa, and Capoiera Fighter Ururahy Rodrigues put on a fifteen minute war for the fans that had Rodrigues winning a close but unanimous decision. Rodrigues celebrated in the traditional Capoira style with a few spinning kicks to impress the crowd. Lloyd Irwin protege Timothy Woods survived a low blow to pull off a rear naked choke on Strikeforce and K-1 veteran Mike Seal. Seal didn't realize he had been unconscious and resumed fighting in the arms of the referee.

The evening finished with a bang as sometimes elusive fighter John Dodson went three aggressive rounds with undefeated Jesse Riggleman. Riggleman kept the pressure on Dodson, but Dodson's speed kept him from getting off first. Dodson pummeled Riggleman bloody all three rounds and took a unanimous decision victory.
