I have that... I'll just be sitting there watching a movie, and my tricep will start palpating, or my forearm will start to just flutter. I get a lot of it with my legs, but as stated above I've had a few traumatic injuries to them and surgery 'disrupted the neural web"...

So I haven't worked out for about 3 years since my shoulder surgery. I decided this time I was just going to do push-ups, sit-ups, and other body weight exercises and see what kind of shape I can get into that way. I've been running quite a bit too, but I always did that. Of course, I can't do pull-ups yet because my shoulder is still pretty fucked up despite the surgery. I had tendinitis since I was 14 and was constantly dislocating it over and over again for 11 years. So I do have to use Dumbbells for biceps exercises. Also, I don't drink any more except for once in a great while. And the rest of my diet is dialed in.

So far, the results have been awesome. In just a couple weeks, I have already toned up quite a bit compared to how I looked before. Fucking body weight exercise is where it's at. I am 5 lbs. away from my weight in high school and I'm 34.

Have you tried indoor rowing? No pressure on joints and can be as intense as you make it. It never interested me previously, but I've gotten in to it and see some benefits and improvements with numbers.

That's how I restarted after my neck injury. I've had a few friends that always said if you couldn't do 20 push ups, 10 dips, and 5 pull-ups, and 50 air squats, you had no business picking up weights. Of course, you have to adjust that for injuries.

Something else to help with the lack of pull ups, and a way to work general rows in while adjusting for your shoulder would be to rest your chest against a bench or another object and do dumbbell rows. Also takes the strain off your lower back.

Yeah, I need to get a bench and more Dumbbells. Right now, I have no space for either. Once my friend moves his firebird out of my garage, I will.

I'm finally 155 again. I did get down to 145 about 10 years ago. But I was emaciated. 155 seems like the best weight for me. Although I won't try to lose more, I also won't be complaining if I do.
Unfortunately, weights and resistance training have been out lately because my back hurts so bad after I run that I can barely walk.

She gained quite a bit of weight the last few years. Just this past few months, she went from not being able to run down the street to running two miles with me. She has lost a lot of weight.

Also, I bought some protein powder. All it does is make me fart.

God, my fuckin' bowel movements/protein farts...

I'm still having issues at certain planes of movement... I can deadlift and row significant amounts of weight, but I'm having issues with pull ups again. I can overhead press without a loss of strength, but there will be days I can't do a single pull up and days where I can crank out 5 or 6. Took a vacation with the family late last month and driving about two hours completely lost feeling in my left hand... probably going back into physical therapy, trying to ward off surgery.

Congrats on your wife's weight loss; that's excellent.

Yep. That's kind of why I chose that name. But I'm down to 145 now. I had plateaued at 150. I was thin, but had a spot on my stomach where I just couldn't get rid of the fat. We went to Italy and spent basically every day walking uphill and eating a lot. It jump started my metabolism and I lost that pouch on my stomach. I keep losing weight, but I'm not even working out. I only walk about a couple miles every day and watch my diet. The key has been no alcohol.
